Cookies at Momento Studio
Everything the service stores in your browser is listed here, with the period it is kept for. The list is complete — not "including" and not "may use".
1. What these files are
A cookie is a small record a site leaves in your browser so it can recognise it next time. Alongside them we use browser storage, which works the same way except the data never goes to the server at all.
2. Necessary — always active
Without these the service does not work, so they do not require consent. They are not analytics and are not shared for advertising.
| Name | Purpose | Period |
|---|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | Which language to show the site in | 1 year |
| ms_lang_manual | A marker that you chose the language yourself, so we do not switch it back | 1 year |
| ms_tg | Sign-in inside the Telegram app without a password. A signed token confirming you are you | 1 year |
Your invitation draft is kept in the browser itself (in local storage) for up to 24 hours so you do not lose what you typed if the page reloads. It is not sent to the server until you press pay.
3. Analytics — only with your consent
These are set only if you pressed "Accept" in the banner. If you declined, they do not exist at all and the site works as usual.
| Name | Purpose | Period |
|---|---|---|
| ms_vid | An opaque visitor number. Lets us tell that a returning person is one person, not two | 365 days |
| ms_ses | A number for a single visit | 12 hours |
| ms_analytics_consent | Your answer in the banner, so we do not ask again | Kept in the browser until cleared |
What we measure with this: how many people visit, where they come from, which designs they open and at which step they stop. These are our own analytics, running on our own infrastructure and shared with nobody.
There is no name, phone number or email in these records. The IP address is not stored.
4. Affiliate links
If you arrived through an affiliate link (with a tag in the address), ms_aff is stored — an opaque marker of who referred you, so that their reward can be credited. The period is set by the affiliate programme settings.
Without such a tag in the address this record is not created. The affiliate programme is switched off as of this version.
5. External counters
Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica are switched off and not loaded as of this version. None of their files are in your browser.
If we enable them, they will load only after your consent, and this document will be updated before that happens.
6. Maps inside invitations
If the owner of an invitation added a map, it loads from Google's or Yandex's servers directly inside the page. Those services may set their own files and do receive the IP address of whoever opened the invitation.
This happens on their side; we neither control it nor have access to those files. An invitation owner can leave the map out if that is unwelcome.
7. How to decline or change your mind
- In the banner on your first visit — "Necessary only".
- Later — clear the site's data in your browser settings. The banner will appear again and you can answer afresh.
- In your browser settings you can block cookies entirely. The language setting and sign-in to the Telegram app will then stop working — that is the price of a blanket block, and it is not in our power to change.
Declining analytics has no effect whatsoever on how an invitation works.
8. Changes to this document
The list may change as the service does. The version in force is always on this page, with the effective date shown at the bottom.
9. Language of this document
The official versions are Russian and English. Translations into other languages are provided for convenience. Where the meaning differs, the Russian version prevails.
